Who we are
The Jerusalem African Community Center [JACC] was founded in July 2014 by a group of Israeli and African activists. Since then it has served as a home for African refugee and stateless communities in Jerusalem.
Around 2,500 refugees from Eritrea, Sudan, and Ethiopia, most of them families with children, live in Jerusalem. As the rest of the refugees in Israel, the communities JACC’s serves live in Israel without legal status or rights, and under the constant threat of deportation. At JACC, we run a wide range of programs according to the community's changing needs.
Our activities are made possible thanks to our inspiring volunteers, amazing partner organizations, and generous donations.
We invite you to learn more about our activities and become part of our unique and diverse community in Jerusalem.
